About this word search

Vancouver is the Canadian name on this list, set among cities from Reykjavik to Ulaanbaatar. Samarkand grew rich from the caravans of the old Silk Road, and Kyoto served as Japan's imperial capital for more than a thousand years.

Every direction counts on this big sheet, including backwards. ULAANBAATAR holds two double As, which makes it easier to anchor. MEXICOCITY and BUENOSAIRES appear as single strings. Seoul and Kyoto are short and hide well.

A travel book club can assign one city to each member, who brings a fact or a photo to the next meeting.
