About this word search

Physics in 1903 and chemistry in 1911 make Marie Curie the one scientist honoured by the Nobel committee in two separate sciences. Michael Faraday had little formal schooling and still shaped the study of electricity, and the Petri dish and Bunsen burner keep the names of the German scientists behind them.

Terms may point up, down, sideways or corner to corner on this big sheet, and some read in reverse. PHOTOSYNTHESIS is the longest run, and DNA is three letters with A as its only vowel. Quantum, with its Q, gives a quick anchor.

Readers who enjoy popular science can choose one name from the list and look up a short biography.
