About this word search

The Giller Prize has been one of Canada's major fiction awards since 1994, founded in memory of the literary journalist Doris Giller. It shares this list with Shakespeare, Austen and Tolstoy. Hemingway worked as a reporter for the Toronto Star in the early 1920s, a detail that surprises many readers.

Words run in every direction on this large sheet, reversed ones included. ALLITERATION and SHAKESPEARE are long, and BOOKCLUB and GILLERPRIZE appear without spaces. Homer, Dante and Woolf are short, and the Z in GILLERPRIZE and the K in KAFKA are rare letters worth looking for.

A book club can pair each author with a novel members have read and keep a list of the gaps for next year.
