About this word search

Suffrage and Parliament carry Canadian weight. Manitoba was the first province to give women the provincial vote in 1916, and most Canadian women gained the federal vote in 1918, though many others, First Nations people among them, waited decades longer.

This big sheet hides words in every direction, back to front included. MAGNACARTA and PRINTINGPRESS appear without spaces. Guild and Senate are short, and the Y and PH in HIEROGLYPHS make it stand out.

In a seniors' history group, each person can choose one word and share a memory or a fact it brings up.

Ways to use this word search

  • Puzzle together
