About this word search

The Nanaimo bar is named after the city on Vancouver Island, while Poutine comes from rural Quebec. Butter tarts are a classic in Ontario, and Maple taffy is poured on clean snow at sugar shacks. The places on the list cover the map as well, from Niagara Falls to the Prairies and the Rocky Mountains.

The list uses the familiar spelling Inukshuk, while Inuit write inuksuk. The two Ks are rare letters and good anchors in the grid. Rideau Canal and Rocky Mountains are long, and Northern lights is one of the longest entries. Words may run backwards and diagonally.

Give the puzzle to a group and ask them to sort the words by region, east, west and north.
