About this word search
Canada Day marks July 1, 1867, when three colonies joined to form the country through Confederation. Until 1982 the holiday was called Dominion Day. Today the country has ten Provinces and three Territories, and both words are in this puzzle.
Parliament Hill is fourteen letters without its space, so it spans this grid from one edge to the other in whatever direction it runs. Find it first and the rest becomes easier. Maple leaf is another two-word entry. No word reads backwards, but some lie on the diagonal.
After the puzzle, ask the kids to name all ten provinces and three territories, or to draw a map and mark where they live.
