New Year's Eve, extra hard

Give it a try: drag a line across the letters.

About this word search

The fireworks over Sydney's Harbour Bridge are watched on screens across the country, and thanks to the time zone they are among the first big New Year displays in the world. The Catherine wheel on the list is much older: a spinning firework named after the wheel linked to Saint Catherine of Alexandria.

Fireworks and Firecracker share their opening letters, as do Party popper and Party hat, so be careful which one you are tracing. Reversed and slanted lines are all fair game here. Karaoke and Twelve have letter patterns that stand out, which makes them quick finds.

Before the countdown, older teens might jot a few lines in a diary, picking Reflection, Memories or Goals as the starting word.
