About this word search
Stegosaurus lived many millions of years before Triceratops, so the two never met, no matter what the toy box suggests. In fact, less time separates us from T. rex than separated T. rex from Stegosaurus. Kids who love timelines can try to place the dinosaurs on this list in order.
This fourteen by fourteen grid sits between the easy and hard versions. Words can slant as well as run flat or upright, but none is written back to front. Herbivore, with its V, is a good first catch. Egg, Dig and Tail are tiny by comparison, so leave them for last.
A library book about fossils makes a good companion. Children can sketch the Skeleton of one dinosaur and mark where a fossil hunter might find the Claw.
