About this word search
Several of these animals are in your pocket. The Beaver is on the nickel, the Caribou on the quarter, the Polar bear on the two-dollar coin, and the Loon on the one-dollar coin, which is why Canadians call it the loonie.
The Moose is the largest member of the deer family, and the Bison is the heaviest land animal in North America. Both make good starting points for a class talk about where each animal on this list lives, from the Arctic to the prairies to the Pacific coast.
In the grid, words lie flat, stand upright or run diagonally, and none is reversed. Canada goose and Black bear appear without spaces. Elk and Wolf are short, so leave them until Porcupine and Raccoon are found.
