About this word search
Bed, Rug and Bath are short and familiar, and a good way to begin. Ask your child which room each one belongs in: the bed in the bedroom, the bath in the bathroom, the sofa in the living room.
Each word runs straight across or straight down in this small grid. Chair is one of the longer words and has the letters CH at the start, which is worth saying out loud together. Room and Roof start the same way, so compare them letter by letter.
Afterwards, draw a simple house and fill each room with something from the list. A lamp in the living room, a bed upstairs, a rug on the floor.
