About this word search
Small children know their house by heart, even before they can read. That makes these ten words easy to picture: the Rug in the lounge, the Lamp by the bed, the Door out to the yard.
Read the list aloud and let your child repeat each word. Start with Bed or Rug, which have three letters, and follow the rows from left to right, then look down the columns. Nothing in this grid runs diagonally or backwards.
Afterwards, ask which room is your child's favourite and why, and let them draw it with as many listed things as will fit.
