About this word search

Draughts is the name used in Australia and Britain for the board game Americans call checkers. The Space hopper and the Hula hoop bring back the 1960s and 70s for many grown-ups, and the Kaleidoscope, whose Greek name roughly means viewer of beautiful shapes, dates from the early nineteenth century.

This grid holds twenty-eight words pointing in every direction, reversed ones included. Kazoo and Jigsaw puzzle hold all the Zs, and Jack-in-the-box and Jigsaw puzzle share the only Js, which makes them easy anchors.

For a family gathering, the list works as a memory game: each adult picks a toy they owned and tells the story behind it.
