About this word search

Saffron is picked by hand from the centre of a crocus flower, which is why it costs more than any other spice by weight. The town of Saffron Walden in Essex takes its name from the crocus fields that once surrounded it.

The list mixes the spice rack with the herb garden. Parsley, Thyme and Chives come from one, Cloves and Nutmeg from the other, and Vanilla from the pod of a climbing orchid.

BLACKPEPPER is eleven letters without its space and makes a good first find, and Sea salt and Bay leaf drop their spaces too. Sage and Dill are only four letters. Words run forwards across, down and diagonally, never in reverse.
