About this word search

Most kitchens have half of these on the shelf. Saffron is the most expensive spice by weight, gathered by hand from crocus flowers, and Nutmeg and Cinnamon were once valuable enough that European powers fought over the islands where they grew. Cilantro is the American name for the leaves of the coriander plant.

Words go across, down or diagonally, never in reverse. Black pepper and Sea salt are written without spaces. Short words like Dill and Sage are easy to miss among the longer ones.

For a cooking club or a senior center activity, follow up by passing around small jars of a few spices and guessing them by smell.
