About this word search
Fruit is one of the easiest topics to make real for a young child. Put an apple, a pear and a lemon on the table before you start, and let them hold each one while you read the word together.
Fig is three letters, and Pear, Plum, Kiwi and Lime are four. Each word goes from left to right or down from the top, never any other way. Lemon and Melon are made of exactly the same five letters in a different order, which is a fun thing to notice.
Afterwards, sort the ten fruits by colour, from green to yellow to purple.
