About this word search
Lime and Lemon are a good pair for young children, since they look alike in the store and start with the same letter. Holding one of each while doing the puzzle makes the difference easy to remember.
Words only go rightward or downward in this grid. Read Apple first, then find an A and move along until you see both P's. Fig, the shortest word, is a good one to save for the end, when your child is confident.
Cut up a few pieces of real fruit afterward and let your child name each one before eating it. Peach and Plum make a nice taste test side by side.
