About this word search

This list reaches well beyond what you can see in a mirror. Ribcage, Spine and Skull are bones, Lungs, Kidney and Liver are organs, and a few words, like Eardrum and Belly button, simply make children giggle. Collarbone is also called the clavicle and Kneecap the patella, which gives older students something to look up.

Words are hidden in all eight directions, and some read right to left. Shoulder blade and Belly button have no spaces, which makes them long and easy to follow once you find the start. Less common letter pairs, such as the KN in Knuckle and Kneecap, are worth hunting for.

In a fourth or fifth grade science class, students can sort the finished list into bones, organs and outside features.
