About this word search
Four American painters share this grid with the European masters. Edward Hopper painted lonely city scenes, Andy Warhol made soup cans famous, Jackson Pollock dripped paint onto canvas laid flat on the floor, and Norman Rockwell's covers for The Saturday Evening Post became part of everyday American life.
Diagonals are allowed, but nothing is spelled in reverse. Van Gogh and Still life are written without spaces. Watercolor is the longest word, and the MBR in Rembrandt is unusual enough to catch the eye.
After a museum visit or an art class, choose one painter from the list and look up a single work together. It makes a fine starting point for a conversation.
