About this word search
Many of these cities carry their history in their names. Cape Town grew out of a supply station on the Cape of Good Hope, New York was renamed after the Duke of York in 1664, and Rio de Janeiro means River of January, after the month Portuguese sailors first arrived.
Each city reads forward, whether it lies across, down or diagonally. Rio de Janeiro and Cape Town are written without spaces. Short names like Rome and Cairo are easy to overlook between the longer ones.
For travelers and map lovers, a nice follow-up is to mark each city on a world map and then trace the longest route between them.
