About this word search

Some of these treats are very Canadian. Sugar pie, or tarte au sucre, is a Quebec classic, and a Date square shows up at almost every church bake sale. Maple candy and Maple taffy come from the sugar shack in spring, and Nanaimo bar and Butter tart are on the list too.

Jawbreaker is a good first target, with a J, a W and a K close together. Meringue and Nougat have letter combinations that look odd in a grid. Words run in all eight directions, so check backwards too, and remember that two-word entries like Cotton candy have no space.

Hand this out at a party for older kids, or use it in a lesson about food from different regions.
