About this word search
Taffy has a double f and Cookie a double o, two small patterns that a young reader can learn to spot. Gum and Pie are only three letters, a good warm-up before the longer words.
The words run only across or down, so your child can follow each row with a finger. Read the list aloud together, then pick a word and look for its first letter. If it is hard, say the next letter out loud.
For the party table, print a copy for every child and give a small treat to everyone who finds all ten, or let them colour in the words they like best.
