About this word search
Young children love any game where they get to touch their nose or wiggle their toes, and these ten words are made for exactly that. Every one names a part of the body they can point to straight away.
Read the list together first and say the words slowly. Each one sits in a straight row or a straight column with no slanting, so trace each row with a finger until the first letter appears. Short ones such as Eye, Toe and Leg make a gentle start, and Hand, Foot and Hair can follow.
Once a word is circled, play a quick round of Simon Says with that body part, then swap so the child gives the instructions.
