About this word search

An Airing cupboard is a very British thing, usually built around the hot water tank and used to keep towels and sheets warm and dry. The Banister, the Landing and the Loft ladder are other words that learners of English often meet only once they live in a British home.

Conservatory and Airing cupboard are the longest and the best anchors in an eighteen by eighteen grid with words in every direction. The K in Bookcase and Skylight and the Y in Utility room help after that.

For older pupils, a follow-up is to sort the words into inside and outside the house. Drainpipe, Gutter and Driveway clearly belong outside, while Porch can start a debate.
