About this word search

Wellingtons are named after the Duke of Wellington, who had a style of boot made for himself. Kilt, Anorak and Poncho come from Scotland, the Arctic and South America, so the list travels quite far.

Dressing gown and Sweatshirt are long anchors in an eighteen-square grid that hides words in every direction. The Z in Zip and the K in Kilt and Anorak help.

For learners of English, sort the list into what you wear to school, to bed and in the rain. Braces is a good one to explain, since in Britain it also means the straps that hold up trousers.
