About this word search
Mum, Dad, Son and Gran are three or four letters long, easy to sound out, and they mean a lot to a young child. Saying the name of each person as you find the word makes the puzzle personal.
Every word starts at the left or at the top and carries straight on from there. Sister and Uncle are longer, and Uncle starts with a U, which is rare enough to spot quickly. Twin has a W, another useful letter.
Once it is done, draw your own family underneath the puzzle and label each person with a word from the list where it fits.
