About this word search
Chipmunk and Squirrel both spend the fall gathering food, and children often mix the two up. A chipmunk is smaller, has stripes along its face and back, and stores much of its food in an underground burrow.
Every word lies across, down or on a slant, and you never read one right to left. Hayride and Harvest both start with HA, so keep both in mind when you spot an H next to an A. Mushroom is a good long anchor.
Back inside after a walk in the woods, children can draw the colors they saw, using Brown and Orange from the list, and add a leaf rubbing to the page.
