About this word search
Independence Day marks July 4, 1776, when the Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence. That is why Liberty, Freedom and Independence sit on this list next to Hot dog and Watermelon.
Words go across, down or diagonally, and never backwards. Red, White and Blue are short and easy to lose among the longer words, so search for them on purpose. Independence is the longest at twelve letters.
Bring printed copies to a picnic and see who finishes before the first sparkler is lit. Younger siblings can help by calling out the short color words.
