About this word search
Forty is the word on this list that catches out even adults, since four keeps its u and forty drops it. Point it out before the search begins and see who remembers it afterwards.
Some numbers lie flat, some hang down and some tilt corner to corner, yet none is spelled in reverse. The teens and the tens share their openings, so SIXTEEN and SIXTY start with the same three letters. Read each candidate to the end before circling it. Zero and Dozen are the shortest finds.
Eggs at the grocery store come by the dozen, and so do doughnuts at the coffee shop. Ask children to name other things sold in twelves.
