About this word search

Portage comes from the French verb porter, to carry, and in Canadian canoe country it means hauling the boat and gear overland between lakes. Blackflies are the late spring pest of the Canadian Shield, and Comfort station is the polite park name for the washroom building.

Words run every possible way across this large sheet, backwards ones included. INSECTREPELLENT is the longest, and ORIENTEERING has a run of repeated Es that helps. Mallet and Lantern are shorter and easy to miss.

A good one for an evening at the cabin, with a headlamp for light.
